Worship
At CG Bible, we worship God through the teaching of the Word, music, prayer, giving, and service. All of these things are integrated in church life. Children are always welcome! An activity bag is provided for young children and a nursery with an attendant is available for those who wish to use it.
Our Sunday morning service begins with a blend of contemporary songs and beloved hymns. Lyrics to the songs are printed on a sheet and are available for those who have difficulty viewing the screen.
A favorite part of the morning has become our Children’s Baffle Box. Each week a child is chosen to take the empty Baffle Box home and bring something back that reminds them of something they’ve learned from the Bible. After the announcements, all children are invited to the front. Pastor opens the box and tries to guess how the items inside tell a lesson from the Bible. Children and their families are creative and there are many times they have stumped the pastor! After this, children ages 11 and under are prayed for and released to Children’s Church, where they meet for a lesson.
Worship in the sanctuary continues with an in-depth lesson from Scripture by our pastor. Handouts are available for those who like the sermon notes in print; they can also be accessed from our website.
What should you wear? Come dressed comfortably and modestly – everything from jeans and sneakers to dresses or khakis or suits. Come prepared to receive a greeting and a handshake or hug or two.
We have listening devices available for those who are hearing challenged.
Our Music
Be filled with the Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:18b-20 NLT)
We enjoy a blend of contemporary music and beloved hymns, encouraging us to connect with each other in glorifying God together. While worshiping in music is a personal experience, it is also a unified, community event where we share the joy of our relationship in Christ and lift up our voices to praise His holy name.
Fellowship
The fellowship of fellow believers is an important part of gathering together and you are welcome to hang around after the service to chat with other believers. Occasionally we will have a potluck lunch; this is a great time to get to know others.
Other opportunities for getting to know others include Life Groups, Bible studies, and special events that occur from month to month.
