Organizations We Support

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and even to the remotest part of the earth.” I Peter 4:10

CG Bible is pleased to partner with the following organizations and missionaries. We also connect with several humanitarian workers in different countries around the world.

For over six decades, the Lord has used the ministry of Awana to reach kids and to provide a church program where children study and memorize Scripture while learning to have a close relationship with Jesus. Awana missionaries are appointed to help churches set up Awana clubs and to provide training for Awana leaders.

With a sharp focus on reaching East Asia’s unreached people, OMF remains true to a relentless vision birthed more than 150 years ago. As James Hudson Taylor walked along Brighton Beach, wrestling with God, pleading for lost souls in China, God honored that prayer and a few months later the China Inland Mission was born. This experience changed Taylor and he devoted his life to planting biblical church movements in every region of East Asia. Hudson Taylor’s dream continues, reaching beyond the shores of England, spreading across East Asia and eventually finding its way to the United States. Over the years, that vision has expanded to include East Asia’s peoples wherever they are, including refugees, immigrants, professionals and international students.

Richard and Chiang Harris, Thailand
Rick and his family are longtime members of CG Bible; when Rick was a new OMF missionary serving in Thailand, he met Chiang and the two were married. They spent a few years in Cottage Grove and then moved to Thailand. Recently they have worked closely with the Shan people near the border of Myanmar. Their new ministry is in OMF’s Diaspora Returnee Ministries in Bangkok.

WorldVenture was founded in 1943 as an answer to prayer by local churches to fulfill the Great Commission. Then known as the Conservative Baptist Foreign Mission Society (CBFMS), WorldVenture was born and incorporated that year to assist churches in training, sending, and supporting missionaries with an unwavering commitment to the authority of the Bible and the proclamation of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. After more than 75 years of ministry, millions of people have been impacted by God and His work through the ministry of WorldVenture and our ministry partners.

Humanitarian Workers work in various countries around the world, teaching those in their communities skills necessary for living. CG Bible is a strong supporter in this area, praying for and financially supporting several of these workers.

Ryan and Shan Buttacavoli

Sannu! (Hello!) God has called Ryan and Shan Buttacavoli to serve in Nigeria as linguist and translator with Wycliffe Bible translators. Ryan is partnering with local people and churches with Scripture translation and promoting Christian social and spiritual values. His last ten years learning Greek, Hebrew, Biblical exegesis, and linguistics, living in other countries, and teaching English is a big help in this ministry to people groups who still lack the Scriptures in their heart language. He and Shan recently married.
