Community is an essential part of spiritual growth. Held in the homes of several of our members, Life Groups are an opportunity to share the Word in a small group setting. We invite you to join us as we focus on living, loving, and leading like Jesus in authentic relationships.
Thursdays, 7pm – at the Row River Christian Fellowship in Dorena with John Kirk.
Fridays, 6:30pm – at the home of Jerry and Laura Berdeen.
Sundays, 2pm – at the home of Keith and Vonnie Rowling.
Times are subject to change. Please contact host for more information.
Want to join with a group of ladies for a short study of the Bible? This group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11am to study Scripture, using Precept Ministries. Study sessions usually last 8 weeks, then there is a short break before another study begins. Please call the church for more details.
Every fall our women get together for a retreat at the coast in Lincoln City. This is a fun time of rest, relaxation, and refreshment – the actual retreat begins on Friday night and ends on Sunday afternoon, but women are invited to come a day early and leave a day late. Activities include worship music, Bible Study, an anonymous gift exchange, and eating at least one meal in a restaurant. During free time, you may wish to take a walk on the beach, go shopping at the Outlet mall or other stores, explore the area, or just stay at the house and read, play games, or rest.
In order to make the cost for this event affordable, we collect used items for a yard sale in the spring or summer.
For all adults, held at a local restaurant. Cost is based on what you order.

Sunday School @ 9:45 am
Want to learn more of God’s Word in an interactive format?
Join us as we meet together to study the Word. There are two elective adult classes, Cornerstone and Timothy, both taught by volunteers who faithfully study and prepare the lessons. An emphasis is placed on learning more about the God who loves us with an everlasting love and participation is encouraged.
Location: Albin Addition, room 3
Teacher: Ed Heaton
From generals and giants, heroes and harlots, God’s justice and patience is revealed in the Book of Judges. The Sunday class taught by Ed Heaton shows how Judges is as fresh as today’s headlines, and applies to every area of the Christian’s walk in the world.
Location: Albin Addition, room 2
Teacher: Bruce Lee
The Cornerstone class is studying 1 and 2 Thessalonians, letters written by the Apostle Paul to the young church he planted at Thessalonica. These letters show Paul’s concern for the spiritual well-being of these new believers distressed by opposition and false teaching concerning the events surrounding the second coming of Christ. We are seeing the workings of a young church and the sorrows and joys Paul shared with the believers at Thessalonica.
The class structure is interactive and individual participation is encouraged. Study notes are provided to encourage class members to dig a bit deeper into God’s Word, resulting in a firm understanding of how to apply the Word in our everyday life.
You are welcome to join us each Sunday morning as we study the Word together.
Seniors are welcome to participate in all adult activities.
Special events for seniors only include:
Saints by Grace
As a special ministry to widows and widowers, the Deaconesses host several luncheons during the year.
Come and enjoy the fellowship of other seniors; bring a main dish and/or dessert to these monthly get togethers.
Occasional outings are planned; these may include visits to Shore Acres, Oregon Tulip Gardens, the Butterfly Pavilion, etc.
